Changing Backup Retention

Modifying Backup Retention in BackupPC is fairly simple.

Go to Edit Config → Schedule

Here you will be able to change the settings for the categories below.

If you have doubts about a specific item you can click on it in your BackupPC Web GUI and it will direct you to the official BackupPC documentation.

Full Backups #

These backups contain every file in the server paths defined for backup.

Incremental Backups #

These are partial backups that only contain files that have been modified relative to the last full backup.

Blackouts #

Blackout periods are when BackupPC is instructed not to perform any backup operations.
